Scripture says that true happiness only comes from one source,

Psalms 146:55  Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
 Man's search for happiness many times eludes them because we tend to concentrate on the physical and emotional aspects of life rather than the spiritual fulfillment that only Jesus Christ offers. It's not a change of habit or a new discipline that will be the key to a second chance for a peaceful and joyful life.

May I tell you, the change you are searching for and the happiness you desire is only to be found in Jesus Christ. Everything changes when a person comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ." 2 Corinthians 5:17  "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." There are many things in life to take away joy and happiness. Jesus gives a person the ability to dispose of the defeated life and live a new life in Him."
Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

How do you get to this place in life and the happiness you seek?
1. Admit that you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
2. Realize that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
3. Ask Jesus Christ to save you now. Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
 4. When you sincerely ask you have His promise that He answers. Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
